April, 2004 How Can NVC Help My Organization?NVC can contribute to increased understanding between management and workers, to greater cohesion around a shared vision, and to skillful leadership attentive to everyone’s needs in the organization. The use of NVC empowers both managers and workers to seek creative solutions to intractable personnel problems, and to be responsive to a multiplicity of needs in changing times. NVC can contribute powerfully to organizational change. What Is Involved in the Training?Best results are achieved when a group of self-selected individuals from across an organization or department dedicate a portion of their time to learning new skills. This group can then practice, use, and model what they have learned to demonstrate in real life what can be achieved. In order to identify this group, we recommend an introductory 2-hour presentation to as many people as possible from within the organization or department, followed by longer training for those who want it. Format and content of training can be custom-tailored to the needs of your organization or department.
