BayNVC - Bay Area Nonviolent Communication
BayNVC Town Hall Meeting - A dynamic & engaging series of conversations
| Saturday, March 6, 2010 |
| 10:00am-4:00pm |
What do you love about BayNVC?
How would you like to see BayNVC evolve?
We invite you to join others in our community who have been touched, educated and served by BayNVC, as together we explore what BayNVC means to us and how it can evolve into a healthy future during changing times. We invite you to contribute your knowledge, concerns, passions, good ideas, experience, care and commitment as together we identify and dream of opportunities, ideas and resources for a thriving BayNVC.
Like many of you, BayNVC has felt acutely the impact of a shifting economy. In response to the financial realities we are facing, we have reduced our staffing and we realize that is not enough to keep BayNVC sustainable in the long-term.
Changes are coming, and we recognize these changes will impact our broader community.
What might those changes be? Where are our existing and hidden resources? What programs and services can stay vital and how shall we adapt, adjust, share or retire those things we do that are no longer possible in a shifting economic landscape?
In the spirit of interdependence, we invite you to join us for this Town Hall Meeting to explore the future for BayNVC together.
Who: Anyone who cares about, has been trained or touched by, has volunteered, has led a practice group for, or donated money to BayNVC.
When: Saturday, March 6, 2010, 10:00 AM (sharp) – 4 PM. Please arrive by 9:45 for registration and to get settled before we start.
Where: Humanist Hall, 390 27th St, Oakland, CA 94612
What: We will use a dynamic meeting process called Open Space, which invites you to host or attend conversations on topics that matter to you. Our conversations will grow from the gifts, passions, vision and experience of all who attend. No speakers, no presentations, no pre-determined topics - come with your good ideas and your love for BayNVC, and be prepared to be surprised.
Lunch: We will have a community pot luck. Please bring something to share!
